26. Reshua Janga

Reshua Janga (2004) is completing his training at the Instituto Buena Bista (IBB) this year. In September he will continue his passion for art with his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at the Utrecht University of the Arts. In his artistic imaginations he works with different materials and media, and art expressions such as painting, sculpting, drawing and a combination thereof. His work ‘2040’ is part of a series of works in which he depicts specific moments or periods in the form of wearable art. The student says the following about his work: ‘2040’ represents what I want to achieve for myself in the future, as a kind of manifestation. I want my presence to have as much value and meaning to others as what it has to me. In the future, I want to be in a position where I am both financially and emotionally stable and can support others as so many have supported me in the past.
