His work, which combines materials such as stainless steel, wood, and iron, can be admired at public locations such as Brionplein in Willemstad and the Blue Bay Sculpture Garden.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"967\"><em data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"504\">\u2018Palu di Spiritu II\u2019<\/em> is the successor to Abath\u2019s earlier acclaimed work and reflects the strong bond between nature, culture, and the spiritual force of Cura\u00e7ao. The sculpture refers to the indigenous <em data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"703\">Casearia tremula<\/em> or Geelhout, locally known as <em data-start=\"734\" data-end=\"750\">kenepa spirito<\/em>, a tree species with strong symbolic value on the island.
